Poster Submission

Congratulations to all authors of accepted abstracts! To ensure a seamless digital experience, all posters will be displayed on LED screens. Please follow the technical and design specifications below to prepare your presentation. Please note that successful registration and payment of the summit fee is a prerequisite for poster submission. The submission portal will only be activated for participants with a confirmed payment status.

1. Technical Specifications

All presenters must configure their files to match the native portrait orientation of our digital stations.

Feature Requirement
Orientation Portrait (Vertical)
Aspect Ratio 9:16 (Essential for 65" LED screens)
Resolution 2160 x 3840 pixel
File Format Single-page JPG (Recommended) or high-res JPEG
File Size Maximum 10MB

2. Design & Readability Standards

Your poster will be viewed from a distance of 50 – 100cm. To maintain visual quality:

  • Font Choice: Use Sans Serif fonts only (e.g., Arial, Calibri, Helvetica, or Montserrat). Do not use Serif fonts (e.g., Times New Roman).
  • Font Sizes:
    • Title: Minimum 36pt (Bold)
    • Headers: Minimum 28pt (Bold)
    • Body Text: Minimum 24pt
  • Color Palette: Use high-contrast themes (e.g., dark text on a light background or white text on a navy-blue background).
  • Note: Avoid neon colors or bright reds, as LED backlighting can cause these colors to "bleed" or vibrate, making text difficult to read.

3. Required Content Structure

E-Posters must be organized in a single column, top-to-bottom flow including these mandatory sections:

  1. Header: Abstract Title, Authors, and Institutional Affiliations (including logos).
  2. Disclosure: Mandatory Conflict of Interest (COI) statement. If none, state: "The authors have no financial disclosures."
  3. Thematic Integration: A brief sentence explaining how your work reflects the summit theme.
  4. Core Content: Follow the standard IMRAD structure:
    • Background: Objective and importance of the study.
    • Methods: Brief overview of study design and population.
    • Results: Prioritize visuals. Use high-resolution charts and images.
    • Conclusion: Key findings and clinical takeaways.

4. Submission & Deadlines

Important Note: There will be NO printed posters at the summit. Presenters will only access their digital files via the assigned stations during their scheduled session.

Submission Policies

To maintain the summit’s academic integrity, all submitters must adhere to the following standard protocols:
  • Originality (Embargo Policy): Submitted work must not have been published or presented at any other major national or international meetings prior to the Siloam Cardiac Summit 2026.
  • Blinded Review: To ensure an unbiased evaluation, the body of the abstract must not contain identifying information, such as the names of authors, hospitals, or specific cities.
  • The "One-Presenter" Rule: While an individual may be listed as a co-author on multiple abstracts, they may only serve as the Presenting Author for a maximum of two (2) accepted works.
  • Generic Names Only: For all medical content, use generic pharmacological names instead of proprietary brand names.
  • Intellectual Property: All submitted abstracts become the permanent property of the Siloam Cardiac Summit.
  • Registration & Attendance: There is no fee for abstract submission. Abstract presenters are expected to attend the Summit in person to share their findings. All presenters are required to register for the event and fulfill the applicable registration fees to secure their place in the program. In other words, while abstract submission is free, all presenting authors must be registered for the summit to participate.

Policies on Originality and Prior Publication

Originality & Plagiarism

The Siloam Cardiac Summit only accepts original work. By submitting the abstract, authors affirm that the work is their own, produced either individually or as a professional group. Should plagiarism be detected at any stage of the review process, the abstract will be summarily rejected.

Previously Presented Work

Abstracts that have been presented at other medical meetings may be submitted only if they have not been previously published in a journal or official proceedings.

Required Citation: If the abstract was previously presented elsewhere, author must include the name of the previous meeting and the presentation date immediately following the Conclusion section in the abstract body.

Prior Publication Policy

General Rule: Abstracts that have been previously published in any peer-reviewed journal or congress supplements will not be accepted.

Withdrawal Requirement: If the abstract is scheduled for publication in another outlet after our submission deadline but before the Siloam Cardiac Summit publication date (April 25, 2026), the abstract must be withdrawn from our program.

"Encore" Abstracts

The Siloam Cardiac Summit does not accept "encore" abstracts (work that has been previously published by our organization or its affiliated partners in past years). If an abstract is found to have been previously published in an official Siloam Cardiac publication or a previous edition of our affiliated cardiovascular journals, the submitter will be notified and the abstract will be rejected to maintain the freshness of our scientific program.
